Making lures since 1964

Strike King Lure Company began in 1964 near the Memphis airport, when Bill McEwen created a spinnerbait business out of his garage. In 1966, Charles Spence purchased the operation and built it into an iconic national manufacturer. Strike King became synonymous with high-quality spinnerbaits before expanding into crankbaits, soft plastics, and jigs. Acquired by Peak Rock Capital and now part of Rather Outdoors, the brand has remained a dominant force in professional bass fishing, partnering with legends like Kevin VanDam (KVD) to design industry-leading lures.
